Security tips

Unfortunately there are criminal ones, which would amount to you and wants into your account to break in also in the Metin world. These hints are to ensure that does not happen. Lost gold or articles is not replaced you! With honesty one comes thus also in this play at the furthest one.

The following list is not under any circumstances complete, it should thus be generally very watchful.

• The general safety rules are generally valid for your computer. Each computer connected with the Internet of the actual and that are now times a condition for Metin2 - is endangered. Thus all Sicherheitspatches provides as time near as possible for a Firewall, a current virus scanner and installs. Your WLAN secures and routs by good passwords and coding. And above all opens and installs no files, over whose origin also only the smallest doubt exists. There Metin2 under LINUX in the meantime very well runs would be a renouncement on Windows naturally also a very good idea.

• If you provide an account, select a name, which you do not use otherwise. In particular not the name one of your characters or your forum account.

• Select a password that of at least eight places consists and apart from letters still numbers and special character contains. In particular it should have to be found in no dictionary, no name, automark, no city etc. your password is not also no payment or letter sequences, e.g. " 1234" or " abcd" and also no keyboard layouts, e.g. " ertzu" contained.
  

A good method to create a safe password is the following: Think you a set of out example: " As password I invented a heavy word, so that hacker a chance does not haben." Of it you use now only the initial letters and the punctuation marks: "APhiesWa,dHkCh." In this password you replace now letters by numbers and special characters: "@Ph1esW4,dH<Ch."
